Closed at the end of 2016 for renovation, the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris was committed to redesign and modernize its digital tools for several years. To this goal was added the need of being able to show and book its outdoor programming during the works, in more than 20 different locations. Three main dynamics were thus put forward: the programming, the venues and the “Théâtre sans frontières”, a space dedicated to news and essays. On the technical side, a show-oriented API was developed to process all datas and differentiate contents. On one hand, the permanent information is therefore administered directly from the CMS’ back office. On the other hand, the raw content related to the programming is entered in the API. Thanks to this technical modulation, it was possible to deliver a fast and light website while offering to the Theatre’s team a powerful everyday work tool.
